Leaving the War Remnants Museum, you will continue to visit Notre Dame Cathedral – one of the four Basilicas in Vietnam. Considered a must-visit destination in Saigon, this Catholic architectural masterpiece began construction in 1877.
During your visit, you will admire its unique Gothic-style architecture, observe the grand Basilica with a length of 93m, and marvel at the twin Bell Towers standing 57m high. Especially, in the church courtyard, you will see the Statue of Our Lady of Peace, which is 4.6m tall, weighs 8 tons, and is carved from Italian white marble.
Continuing the tour, from Notre Dame Cathedral, you will walk just about 30m to visit the Central Post Office. Built by the French between 1886 and 1891, this building is a masterpiece of European architectural style.
