DAY 1: HANOI – MOC CHAU PLATEAU (Meals: Lunch, Dinner)

  • 06:15: The vehicle and guide pick up guests at the meeting point. Depart for Moc Chau Plateau. On the way, stop at Thung Khe Pass and Thung Muoi to enjoy local specialties such as bamboo rice (com lam) and grilled eggs. Take souvenir photos.
  • 11:30: Arrive at Moc Chau Plateau for lunch and taste local specialties such as com lam, fried veal (Be Chao), and smoked pork (Lợn gác bếp) – a unique way of preparing pork in the Northwest. According to locals, the longer the pork is hung above the fireplace, the more fragrant and flavorful it becomes, and it can be preserved for the entire year. Check in to the hotel and rest.
  • 14:00: Visit Ban Ang Pine Forest – a romantic scenery with endless pine hills surrounding a poetic lake. Explore Heart-shaped Tea Hill, a popular spot for tourists to take photos and discover the unique products of Moc Chau tea workers. Return to the hotel to rest.
  • 19:00: Dinner at a local restaurant. On a cool evening, enjoy Thai ethnic specialties: com lam, five-colored sticky rice, grilled meat, grilled fish, boiled bamboo shoots, etc. Evening at leisure to stroll and enjoy the fresh and peaceful air of Moc Chau Plateau. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: MOC CHAU PLATEAU – SON LA CITY (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Morning: Wake up early to enjoy the fresh mountain air. After breakfast, visit Happy Land – a flower valley with colorful blooms all year round. Visitors feel as if they are in a European flower valley with windmills, water wheels, and interesting observation towers – leaving a lasting impression. Visit Dai Yem Waterfall – cascading from a steep cliff, resembling a girl’s yếm (traditional Vietnamese scarf) in the Northwest mountains. Enjoy the fresh air and scenic views.
  • 11:00: Transfer back to the hotel, check out, and have lunch. After lunch, travel from Moc Chau town to Son La City to visit the special national relic – Son La Prison.
  • Evening: Dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, free time to explore Son La City and overnight at a hotel in the city center.

DAY 3: SON LA CITY – SON LA HYDROPOWER PLANT (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

  • Morning: Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, visit Son La Hydropower Plant – the second largest hydropower plant in Asia. Then travel to Muong La town, enjoy a mineral hot spring bath at Ít Ong Hot Springs, and have lunch in town.
  • After lunch, return to Hanoi. Drop off guests at the original meeting point. End of the tour.
