Diagnostic Equipment & Treatment Technologies

  • Digital X-ray / 3D Cone Beam CT Scanner

The 3D Cone Beam CT scanner is an advanced imaging system that allows dentists to obtain high-resolution, multi-dimensional X-ray images. This device is used to evaluate the patient’s oral condition and jawbone structure before dental implant placement.

  • Sterilization Autoclave

The autoclave sterilizer is used to sterilize all instruments before and after implant procedures. The device operates using high temperature and pressure to completely eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other infectious agents.

  • X-Guide Navigation Robot

The X-Guide navigation robot is an advanced guidance technology used during bone drilling and implant placement. It functions similarly to a GPS system for implant surgery, enabling dentists to control the precise position, angle, and depth of the implant in real time.

  • Magnetic Surgery and High-Frequency Ultrasonic Devices

Magnetic surgery and high-frequency ultrasonic devices are used to prepare the implant site in the jawbone. Operating based on magnetic induction principles, these technologies help minimize impact on the bone and gum tissues, thereby reducing trauma to the surrounding structures.

  • Surgical Instruments and Equipment

In dental implant procedures, the basic surgical instrument set includes implant drills, depth gauges, and implant drivers. These three tools play an essential role in ensuring accuracy and safety during each step of the implant surgery.

  • Implant drill set
  • Implant depth gauge
  • Implant driver
  • Surgical Suction System

A surgical suction device is used to remove fluids, blood, and bone debris during implant surgery. The device is typically used continuously throughout the procedure to keep the surgical area clean.

  • Intraoral Scanner

The intraoral scanner is a modern device that uses optical scanning technology to collect digital data about the shape and structure of teeth and oral soft tissues.

It is commonly used during the impression stage to prepare for the design of the implant abutment and the final dental crown.

  • Sterilization Cabinets and Ultraviolet (UV) Lights

A UV sterilization cabinet is used to store and maintain instruments in a sterile environment, operating through forced drying and UV sterilization to eliminate bacteria and viruses.

Ultraviolet lights are used to disinfect air and surfaces in rooms, cabinets, medical equipment, and surgical areas, helping prevent the spread of infectious microorganisms. These devices are used throughout the implant procedure, particularly before, during, and after surgery.

  • CAD/CAM 3D Printing System

The CAD/CAM 3D printing system supports the design and fabrication of dental crowns and prosthetics with high precision based on digital design software.

This technology enables dentists to produce crowns that fit accurately and provide excellent aesthetics while shortening fabrication time. As a result, implant restorations ensure both functional chewing ability and a natural appearance tailored to each patient.

Main Dental Implant Services

Single Dental Implant (Single-Tooth Restoration)

The cost of dental implant treatment ranges from 8,400,000 VND to 47,000,000 VND (equivalent to $320 - $1.800) per tooth, including the implant fixture, abutment, and dental crown.

This cost is determined by three factors: treatment materials, applied technology, and the dentist’s expertise.

  • Total cost = Number of implants × Price per implant

Multiple Implants / Implant-Supported Bridge

  • Total cost = Number of implants × Price per implant

For example, if a patient is recommended to place two implants using a second-generation Korean implant system, with each implant priced at 14,900,000 VND ($570), then:

  • Total cost = 2 × $570 = $1.140

Full-Arch Restoration: All-on-4 / All-on-6

Implant Treatment MethodPrice Range (USD)
All-on-4 Dental ImplantsFrom $2.275 –$10.840
All-on-6 Dental ImplantsFrom $3.030 – $15.040

The cost of full-arch implant treatment is calculated based on the following formula:

  • Total full-arch implant cost = (Implant fixture cost × Number of implants) + Cost of the prosthetic arch

Additional Costs for Implant Procedures (If Applicable)

In addition to the standard package price—which already includes the implant fixture, abutment, and customized dental crown—certain cases may require additional procedures.

These may include situations such as severe bone loss or when a patient requires close monitoring by an emergency care specialist.

In such cases, Lac Viet Intech Dental will recommend additional supportive procedures that are appropriate for each patient’s treatment plan.

All details are clearly discussed before treatment so patients can feel confident and fully informed during the process.

Sterility & Infection Control

4 Sterility Principles for Dental Implant Procedures

To ensure that a tooth extraction or dental implant procedure is performed with maximum safety, dental clinics must follow four sterilization steps in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Health.

1. Sterilization of Personal Instruments

This is the first and most important sterilization principle, as the instruments directly contact the patient’s mouth and determine the safety of the treatment procedure.

Single-use instruments

These include gloves, suction tips, rinse cups, disposable patient bibs, and similar items. After use, all must be discarded immediately and must never be reused in any form.

Reusable instruments

Instruments such as examination trays, extraction forceps, dental elevators, and other metal tools must undergo a multi-step sterilization process to ensure complete sterility:

  • Initial rinsing under running water with soap and cleaning solution to remove tissue, blood, and saliva
  • Thorough cleaning using an ultrasonic cleaning machine to remove residual blood or debris in small crevices
  • A second rinse with clean water
  • Drying and sterile packaging
  • Sterilization in a specialized autoclave sterilizer
  • Overnight storage in a UV sterilization cabinet
  • Sterile packages are opened in front of the patient at the beginning of the examination

Note: For each patient, a completely new set of instruments must be used and must never be reused to ensure maximum safety.

2. Sterilization of the Treatment Area

Not only instruments, but also the clinic environment and dental chair can become sources of bacteria and cross-contamination if not thoroughly disinfected. Therefore, Lac Viet Intech Dental places strong emphasis on maintaining a clean and sterile treatment environment.

Clinic space

The clinic is always well-ventilated and clean, and the floor is cleaned multiple times per day. This helps minimize dust and airborne bacteria.

Dental chair

After each patient, the entire surface of the dental chair is disinfected with medical alcohol to ensure that no traces of blood or saliva remain, thereby preventing cross-infection.

Chair-mounted equipment

  • Handpieces and water spray tools are removed, cleaned thoroughly with alcohol, and lubricated before use for the next patient.
  • Ultrasonic scaling tips are sterilized after each use to ensure complete sterility.

Saliva ejector basin

This is one of the areas most likely to harbor bacteria, so it is washed with soap and disinfected with alcohol after every patient.

Intraoral scanner

The scanner tip is always covered with a sterile protective sleeve, which is replaced for each patient to prevent infection.

End of the day

All dental chairs, lighting equipment, and contact surfaces are cleaned with alcohol to ensure the clinic remains in a sterile condition.

Thanks to these measures, patients visiting Lac Viet Intech Dental can feel confident about the safety and cleanliness of the treatment environment.

3. Sterilization of the Surgical Room

The implant surgical room requires a significantly higher level of sterility compared to a regular treatment room because implant procedures involve deeper intervention into dental tissues and jawbone structures, increasing the risk of infection.

Separate surgical room

The room contains only one dental chair and no unnecessary equipment, helping reduce the risk of bacterial contamination from the surrounding environment.

Strict hygiene control

Anyone entering the room must change into designated footwear, and the room is thoroughly cleaned after each surgical procedure.

Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization lights

After each procedure, UV lights are activated for 15–45 minutes to eliminate airborne bacteria and maintain a sterile environment.

Before each working day

UV lights are turned on for 30–45 minutes to ensure the surgical room reaches full sterilization standards before receiving new patients.

4. Personal Sterility

Human factors also play an important role in ensuring the safety of each treatment procedure. Even if the instruments and clinic environment are sterile, infection risks remain high if medical staff or patients do not follow sterilization protocols properly.

For patients

  • Provide a full medical history declaration, especially regarding infectious diseases
  • Perform oral antiseptic rinsing and facial hygiene before surgery or implant placement

For dentists and medical staff

  • Wear surgical caps, masks, and sterile medical gowns or surgical attire
  • Wash hands following the six-step hand hygiene protocol recommended by the Ministry of Health, using automatic soap dispensers and specialized brushes
  • Dry hands with sterilized towels
  • Wear sterile surgical gloves, which are different from regular examination gloves.

Treatment Evidence & Post-Implant Follow-Up

Over 60,000 Implant Cases Performed at the Lac Viet Dental System

  • Ms. Hoang Thi Bac – Before and After Full-Arch Dental Implant Treatment

Ms. Hoang Thi Bac shared a joyful smile after the dentist completed the final step of her upper full-arch All-on-4 dental implant treatment using Safe–Tech technology at Lac Viet Dental.

For many years prior, due to complete tooth loss, Ms. Bac often felt extremely uncomfortable during meals. Food always had to be well-cooked and very soft for her to be able to chew.

For a long time, she had been unable to enjoy the dishes she loved, and the feeling of having a truly satisfying meal had become something she missed greatly.

After undergoing implant treatment with the DCT personalized implant solution, performed by Dr. Vu Duc Duy, her bright and happy smile clearly reflected her satisfaction. Ms. Bac shared with us:

If I had known about dental implants earlier, I would have done it a few years sooner. I wouldn’t have lost so many teeth like this.”

Although Lac Viet Dental has not yet treated many international implant patients, during nearly 20 years of operation the clinic has primarily served domestic patients.

However, with its comprehensive capabilities, experience, and modern technology, Lac Viet Dental is confident in its ability to provide dental implant services for international patients.

  • Patient Do Van Minh – Implant Restoration for Missing Teeth

Mr. Do Van Minh visited Lac Viet Dental with the following condition: only three teeth remaining in the upper jaw, all severely loose; and in the lower jaw, only six front teeth remained with no molars. This condition significantly affected his ability to chew and caused him frequent pain.

After a detailed examination and imaging, the dentists at Lac Viet Dental developed a treatment plan for Mr. Minh involving full-arch implant restoration for both jaws using the All-on-6 technique with Safe–Tech technology.

This solution is cost-effective and efficient, allowing six implants to be placed in optimal positions within the jawbone to support a full dental restoration.

The Safe–Tech implant technology, originating from the United States, provides patients with a safe and comfortable implant experience, minimizing pain while ensuring durable chewing function and results that exceeded Mr. Minh’s expectations.

Bonus: 5 Facts About Dental Implants That Dentists Often Do Not Fully Explain

Based on nearly 20 years of experience and tens of thousands of successful implant cases, Lac Viet Dental has summarized five important facts about dental implants that dentists do not always explain in detail to patients:

1. Implant lifespan does not depend on the implant brand

In reality, once successful osseointegration has occurred, there is no significant difference in durability or lifespan between different implant brands.

The differences between more expensive and less expensive implants mainly lie in surface treatment technologies and biological coatings, which influence how quickly the implant integrates with the bone and the overall cost.

The true factors determining success are the dentist’s experience, an appropriate treatment plan, and modern equipment, rather than simply choosing a more expensive implant system.

2. More expensive crowns do not increase implant lifespan

Using a more expensive dental crown does not necessarily make the implant last longer. The most important factor is the precision fit between the crown and the implant abutment.

All-ceramic crowns produced with CAD/CAM technology provide near-perfect precision and are generally superior to metal-based crowns (such as titanium-based crowns),which may shrink slightly during fabrication.

Once an all-ceramic crown is chosen, higher-priced options usually differ only in aesthetic quality, while their strength and durability for implant restoration remain similar.

3. More implants do not always mean better chewing strength

Placing more implants does not necessarily improve outcomes. Each implant requires a biological spacing of about 1.5 mm to remain stable.

If implants are placed too close together due to limited space, it may lead to bone resorption and a higher risk of implant failure.

For example, when three teeth are missing, sometimes placing two implants at both ends to support a dental bridge is sufficient to restore chewing function safely while protecting the jawbone and reducing treatment costs.

4. Natural teeth cannot be connected with implants to form a bridge

A natural tooth cannot be used as a support together with an implant to create a dental bridge. This is because an implant is rigidly fixed in the jawbone, while natural teeth have periodontal ligaments that allow slight natural movement.

When these two structures are connected, chewing forces create a lever effect, which can cause the implant to lose integration, develop inflammation, and often fail within six months to one year.

5. Implants cannot last a lifetime without proper conditions

The statement that “implants last a lifetime” is only partially true. Their longevity depends on three key factors: the dentist’s expertise (accurate treatment planning),the quality of the implant system (authentic products and proper healing time),and most importantly the patient’s aftercare.

Patients must avoid smoking, maintain proper oral hygiene, and attend regular follow-up appointments. Without these conditions, implants can still fail like any other dental treatment.
