A Day in the Heart of Hanoi - Itinerary
- 08:00 - 09:00: Pick-up from hotels in the Old Quarter or Hanoi Opera House. Begin your journey to discover the capital city of Hanoi.
- 09:15: Tran Quoc Pagoda: Located on a small island in the East of West Lake (Tay Ho District),Tran Quoc is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi with a history of nearly 1,500 years. Here, you can admire one of the largest Bodhi trees in Vietnam.
- 10:00: Ho Chi Minh Complex: Visit the historic complex inaugurated in 1975, including: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho’s stilt house, Fish Pond, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda.
- 11:30: Vietnam Museum of Ethnology: Explore fascinating collections of costumes, artifacts, and cultural heritage from all 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. A meaningful stop to deepen your understanding of Vietnam’s diverse traditions. Note: The museum is closed on Mondays. On this day, the itinerary will be replaced with a visit to the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.
- 13:15: Lunch at a local restaurant
- 14:30: Temple of Literature: Discover Vietnam’s first national university, dedicated to Confucius and scholars. A symbol of education, tradition, and cultural pride.
- 15:40: Hoa Lo Prison: Built by the French between 1886 and 1901, Hoa Lo once held many Vietnamese revolutionaries during the Indochina War and American pilots during the Vietnam War. Today, it serves as a war museum for those wishing to understand more about Vietnam’s resilience.
- 16:45: Return to pick-up point. End of tour.
